Why Hand Cleaning Matters
Most gutter cleaning companies use leaf blowers to blast debris out of gutters. It is fast for them, but it leaves organic residue packed against the gutter walls, scatters debris across your roof and landscaping, and misses the compacted sludge at the bottom that actually causes clogs.
We clean by hand. Every gutter run is scooped, scraped, and flushed with water to verify flow. It takes longer, but the result is a gutter system that actually works, not one that looks clean from the ground but clogs again in two weeks.
What Is Included
Every cleaning visit includes a full system inspection. We check hanger condition, slope, seam integrity, downspout flow, and fascia health. If we find a problem, we photograph it and include it in our report. Minor issues like loose hangers or small seal failures can often be fixed on the spot at no extra charge.
How Often Should You Clean?
In Oregon, we recommend cleaning twice per year: once in late fall after the major leaf drop (November to December), and once in late spring to clear pollen, seed pods, and any winter debris. Homes surrounded by conifers may need a third cleaning in late summer to clear accumulated needles.
